Considered by some to be a Fruit Loop in a bowl of Cheerios, Collette has decided Her favorite art is everything: Painting, Hand lettered signs, sculpture, murals, assemblage, montage and creating a garden. For years she has worked for Gallatin Valley design firms and her old world painted finishes make brand new stuff look like Gramma dragged it across the prairie. She facilitates Process Art Groups and her work reflects her love of people and the Planet. Putting together found art stuff, paint and good humor, she’s not attached to any brand and always willing to try something different. “My Dad taught me that.”

“The fairy village last year was a nudge from my garden devas to build that dwelling that lived in my imagination for so many years. It tickles me to be a part of this seriously silly effort to bring joy and happiness to our community. A brilliant idea and so healing at the same time! We need more giggles not tears!”

Winner of the 2016 Sweet Pea poster contest with her whimsical rendition of Main Street Bozeman, Collette just completed a

painting for the The Ellen Theatre’s 100 year anniversary.

If you ask her about painting landscapes, she laughs and says, “Don’t ask me to paint those mountains, I ain’t got brushes big enough!’ ”
