The Menagerie of the Imaginary Lantern Parade illuminated the darkness with joy and light. Magically glowing lanterns created and carried by Gallatin Valley artists and community members were accompanied by singers from our community.

ABOUT THE LANTERNS
There were a wide array of lanterns from professional artists, art students, and talented community members in the Menagerie of the Imaginary Lantern Parade!

The Sky Realm is led by Curly Tailed Bird Horse Amelia, created by 11 artists under the leadership of Andrew Kim of Thingumajig Theatre.
The GIANT OWL in the sky realm was created by artist Kenda Minter, and is surrounded by owls, stars, and moons designed by Minter and made by community members.


The EARTH REALM is led by our Queen Disco Bee created by artist Matt Cameron, surrounded by flowers designed by artists Steve & Wren Allison-Bunnell.
The WATER Realm is led by Echo the Tassel Finned Dragoon, created by 11 artists under the leadership of Andrew Kim of Thingumajig Theatre. Echo will be surrounded by fish designed by artist Tory Moeckel and made by community members.


Each Realm will also feature lanterns made by Montana State University Foundations Art students, and an amazing array of creative lanterns made at home by community members!
