Inspired by the community excitement about the fairy village of 2020 and by the artists and organizers, Kenda resumed her artistic pursuits of repurposing banal things into sculpture. With her friends’ help, she collected scads of lettuce and strawberry boxes and other plastic packaging to create the Magical Augmentation Station for this year’s village.
In addition to working at the Community Food Co-op, Kenda enjoys fiddling with finds and creating sculptures, doodads, and Halloween costumes. Food, gardens, family, pets, friends, and bicycles enhance her life and art.
