7. Meadow Mushrooms Design Studio

Meadow Mushrooms is a heritage mushroom design studio. Having been in operation for over 300 years, Meadow Mushrooms takes pride in employing many talented fairies, of all different backgrounds to design, create, and place mushrooms in the wild. The Mushroom making process starts in the design workshop, where mushroom designs are creatively sketched in the workshop on the second floor of the studio. Artist fairies use their imagination to pick colors and patterns that could bring joy and beauty to all creatures in the forest. Different designs are selected for each season, even in the winter!

Once the fairies have voted on the best designs, mushrooms are lovingly hand grown (using soil, water, sunlight and magic) in the garden center on the first floor of the studio. When the mushrooms have grown into their full fantastic shapes and sizes, they are painted to match the winning designs. It is key that the mushrooms are painted outside in the garden surrounding the studio, as fairies know that color looks best in natural light. A select team of “placers” then hides the newly created mushrooms amongst the forest floor. Be on the lookout for Meadow Mushrooms designs in the forest!
