Botanist and seed saver Blossom Drupe is passionate about collecting, cataloguing, and preserving all the heirloom and wild seeds found in the area. This work is of great importance, as her collection–carefully stored in a temperature-controlled seed cellar–enables the continued cultivation of treasured heirloom flowers, fruits, grains, and vegetables in Bumblewood Thicket. Each spring, Blossom opens a seed library offering seeds to all, and manages distribution to the seed spreaders: fairies, birds, mice, and insects who scatter the seeds far and wide to ensure enough plants for a good harvest.
Kathleen lives in Bozeman with her kiddos, Sophia and Noah, and Australian Terrier Charlie Brown. When not making fairy houses, Kathleen can be found hanging out with her family, making art, gardening, reading, exploring nature, or working at the Bozeman Public Library in the Youth Services Department. Kathleen loves the whimsy of fairy houses and has been making them for years with her kids. She loves making houses on trails while hiking, and then coming back later to see if they are still intact and if the fairies have left any clues behind. This is her third year participating in the fairy village. You can find Kathleen on instagram.
