This portal takes viewers into the far reaches of outer space. The brick walls of Ace crumble to reveal a gap in time, as a deep space octopus from the future slips through the cracks and into downtown Bozeman. In this future world, aquatic creatures have abandoned our polluted planet in search of a cleaner ocean to call home. The compromised ocean on Earth has caused mutations that allow all sea life to fly and survive in the depths of deep space. They work as a team to scout out new planets to inhabit. The void in the alleyway gives onlookers a glimpse into this journey of the unknown.
Jopsae lives just a few blocks away from his portal with his sweetie Alina and their dog Josie. He comes from an urban art background and primarily uses aerosols to create his paintings. When not working as a landscape architect or creating public art, he can be found hiking and skiing to capture the natural world through plein air oil paintings. If he could take a portal anywhere he would get transported onto a sailboat off the coast of Sardegna (his grandpa taught him how to sail when he was young).
