Little Fae Library

Little Fae Library

Welcome to the Little Fae Library, where anyone can take a book or leave one! You may recognize this nomadic library from Flutterby Thicket, a nearby fairy village first discovered by humans just a few years ago. The library moves where it is needed, and it has happily roosted here in the village all summer. Pardon the mess! The library is in a bit of a shambles due to a recent bookworm infestation. Thankfully the bookworms have been gently relocated to a paper birch tree across town, where they can munch away to their hearts’ content.

Anna Visscher

Anna is our Chief Shenanigans Officer here at RAS. She lives with her husband: writer, teacher, and actor Kent Davis, a bat-eared dog named Dobby, and a mustachioed cat named Herk, in a little house with a big garden inhabited by bees, butterflies, birds, a shy troll, and a couple of feisty fairies. When not helping to bring fairy villages to life, she makes art, gardens, cooks, and reads. A Montana native, Anna spent her childhood building fairy and borrower houses, writing and illustrating stories about magical creatures, and reading voraciously. She feels incredibly lucky to now be able to do work that feeds her inner child as well as her community.
The Little Fae Library was originally installed in Flutterby Thicket, RAS’ first fairy village in 2020. Anna would like to thank her verbally gifted sweetie, family, and friends for contributing many of the book titles seen in the library. Thanks as well to Molly Stratton for creating the original structure for the library. You can find Anna, her creatures, and her garden on
